In a world drowning in plastic and burning through waste, three teenagers from Bangkok dared to imagine something different—and now they’ve started building it.
At AIHM, our young professionals take what they learn in the classroom and put these lessons to the test in real-world hotel environments. Each BBA student completes two different internships as part of earning their hotel management degree. These internships take them around the world, enhancing their global perspectives and giving them practical experience and insights they can highlight in their CVs when they graduate and embark on their career paths.

When Nimi Khanijou completed her studies at the Asian Institute of Hospitality & Management (AIHM) and continued onward at Les Roches, she already knew she wanted to be an industry trailblazer. Today, she’s well on her way, blazing a trail as the first AIHM alumnus to step into Minor Hotels’ Preferred Employment Status opportunity, a pathway designed to fast-track talented graduates into impactful roles across the company.
How can the CIHA propel you to new heights? Siraphop Watthanabaramisakun shares how the CIHA has been helping him progress in his career at Minor Hotels in Thailand. Mathew Kiran John talks about how the CIHA has helped him in his career journey at Minor Hotels properties in the Maldives. The two professionals joined AIHM from different countries and different departments—Siraphop from the Rooms division and Mathew from Engineering—both with the desire and motivation to fill in the gaps in their hospitality expertise, to boost their leadership abilities and to reach increasingly new heights in their careers over the years to come.
