The Day Everything Changes: Scholarships and Smart Path to a Master’s

The Day Everything Changes: Scholarships and Smart Path to a Master’s

What if one day could change the direction of your career? For those ready to step forward, 30 August 2025 may be that turning point.

On Saturday, 30 August, the doors open at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel for the AIHM Postgraduate Diploma Open Day. This special event welcomes professionals with ambition, employers with vision, and anyone ready to take the next step in hospitality leadership. Beyond just an information session, this is your chance to interview for a full scholarship, hear from one of Asia’s most respected CEOs, and explore a one-year programme that can lead to a Swiss-accredited Master’s degree—without the time, cost, or disruption that many assume a graduate degree requires.

It may be one day. But for many, it could be their turning point.

Two Full Scholarships. One Day.

Many capable professionals consider graduate study. Fewer act on it. Cost is one reason. Time is another. The Open Day addresses both.

The PGD programme taught by us in academic association with Les Roches, will award two full-tuition scholarships to attendees:

  • One full scholarship covering tuition for the Postgraduate Diploma at AIHM and the Master of Advanced Studies at Les Roches
  • One full scholarship for the Bangkok-based diploma alone

Candidates will be selected from interviews held during the event itself. The process is personal, immediate, and anchored in professional potential.

What Is the Postgraduate Diploma?

The Postgraduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management is a one-year programme built with working professionals in mind. Some students enroll full time. Others balance study with existing careers. Either way, the structure is practical and tightly focused.

Participants complete one semester of academic coursework in Bangkok, followed by a six-month internship or work-based project. Coursework emphasises critical management skills: financial management, revenue strategy, service marketing, events, entrepreneurship, and leadership in a global context. A field trip to a hospitality hotspot such as Phuket reinforces industry insight.

The result is a serious credential: the Postgraduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management. For many, it also functions as a bridge to earning a Master’s degree.

The Path to a Master’s

Students who complete the Postgraduate Diploma may transfer directly into a final semester at Les Roches in Switzerland or Spain to earn the Master of Advanced Studies in Hospitality Management with Specialisation.

Master’s degree seekers choose from four specialisations:

  • Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship and Management (Switzerland)
  • Marketing Management in Luxury Tourism (Spain)
  • Golf Management (Spain)
  • Cruise Line Management (Spain)

For those who need to stay close to home for personal or financial reasons, the structure is both strategic and generous: start with the foundation in Bangkok, then complete the final stage in Europe.

Who Should Attend the Open Day?

The event welcomes both individual professionals and hotel groups seeking to upskill their teams.

For professionals: If you’ve built up experience but feel your current trajectory has flattened, this is a chance to reframe your next move. The Postgraduate Diploma is a smart choice for department heads, managers, or career changers from other sectors who want to pivot into hospitality leadership. The ideal candidate will already hold a Bachelor’s degree and have 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or higher; however, some flexibility exists for individuals with equivalent real-world learning.

For hotels and companies: The programme is well-suited to employers wishing to invest in high-potential team members. Flexible formats make it possible for candidates to remain on staff during most of their study, and return with sharpened skills, strategic perspective, and the credibility of a Les Roches qualification.

Leadership Up Close: A Guest Worth Listening To

For attendees, this is not only a chance to learn from a high-level executive, but to engage directly. Dillip is an industry figure whose decisions have shaped the career paths of thousands. Listen and learn from him in person, in a room of peers, mentors and possible future fellow students and colleagues.
